Boeing UK Ltd. is seeking an Area Sales Director (IC). In support of Boeing Global Services' (BGS) aspirations for global aerospace leadership and uncompromising customer focused services, we are seeking a passionate, motivated, and knowledgeable individual who will help customers solve business challenges as it relates to aftermarket aircraft support in the EMEA region.
The Area Sales Director position develops, maintains, and interacts with broad scope of new and existing customers within the aviation market; military, business and general aviation, as well as commercial to increase sales and/or services through product knowledge, education, and value proposition. In this role, you will develop sales strategies designed to demonstrate the features and benefits of the products/services to achieve increased sales and profitability. You will be responsible to manage the full sales cycle for assigned accounts; from preplan to servicing the customer, while utilizing the full suite of communication technologies offered by the company.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with foreign governments and commercial MRO stakeholders.
Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement sales strategies that highlight the features and benefits of our products and services to enhance sales and profitability.
Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the full sales cycle for assigned accounts, from pre-planning to customer service, utilising the full suite of communication technologies provided by the company.
Documentation and Reporting: Compile and present documentation to support management reviews and participate in strategic discussions.
Negotiation Support: Assist lead negotiators during business negotiations to secure commitments from customers and vendors.
Market Analysis: Research and analyse competitor products and services to improve our market positioning.
Customer Solutions Development: Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions based on customer needs and available resources.
Networking: Engage with both internal and external resources to foster business growth and maintain customer relationships.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
A minimum of 8 years of experience in technical outside sales and marketing.
A bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration or similar, preferably with a focus on sales & marketing.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and common CRM tools (MS-BI/Salesforce/Siebel, etc.).
Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience within the aerospace and/or defense industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of aviation material sales and services in a previous role.
Experience working with Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) providers, Fixed-base Operators (FBOs), Helicopter Operators, OEMs, and/or corporate aviation entities.
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the UK. Benefits and pay are determined by the UK and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
