The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Windows and Linux Systems Administrator to join the team in Kent, WA or Tukwila, WA.
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will design, implement, troubleshoot, secure, and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers.
The dedicated infrastructure will be configured to meet the required security compliance metrics (Risk Management Framework (RMF), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), etc). The infrastructure will support various application stacks including Engineering design and analysis tools, Software Development Environments (Jira, GIT, Jenkins, etc), Oracle, Structured Query Language (SQL) databases, Java, etc.
Position Responsibilities:
Works directly with programs to ensure Information Technology infrastructure solutions meet the program requirements and schedules
Oversees system design, integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support program performance
Performs a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities
Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Determines approaches to solutions
Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects
Represents the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues
Mentors, leads, and trains others
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
CompTIA Security + certified (equivalent or higher)
5+ years of experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements
5+ years of experience in integrating hardware and software components into a functional system
5+ years of experience working within multi-disciplined teams to resolve business impacting computing issues
Willing to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience with standardized Network Protocols and Services (i.e. Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/Internet Protocol (IP), Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Firewalls, etc.)
2+ years of experience in architecture, designing, and implementing a DevOps infrastructure
2+ years of experience working with Virtual Systems (i.e. VMWare) design and implementation
2+ years of experience with Oracle and SQL Database Administrator (DBA)
Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) applications and frameworks

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $116,450 - $157,550
