The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior System Design and Integration Specialist to join the team in Kent, WA; Arlington, VA; Long Beach, CA; North Charleston, SC; Hazelwood, MO; Berkeley, MO; or Ridley Park, PA.
You will join the Boeing Digital Workspace Solutions team to support Boeing’s use of Microsoft “project management” tools across client and cloud environments. Your role covers applications and services, direct customer support, vendor and supplier management, and driving Boeing’s cloud adoption.
A successful candidate will understand Project Server, Project Online, Project Standard, Project Professional, Project Apps, Planner (including Planner for the Web), Microsoft 365 (M365), Microsoft Azure (Azure) services, Power Platform including Power Automate and Power Business Intelligence (Power BI), and how these integrate with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams to enable reporting and collaboration.
Responsibilities focus on implementing, guiding, and supporting cloud adoption and related client and cloud services. Additional support may include Visio products (Visio Standard, Visio Professional, and Visio Apps in Microsoft 365) in both perpetual and online forms.
Position Responsibilities:
Support and lead the use of Microsoft’s project management tools and additional future releases. This includes both on-premises client and cloud applications, Project Standard and Professional, Planner & Planner Premium, Planner for the Web, Project Apps, Project Online and Project Server
Develop strategies for M365 project management tool adoption for Boeing, including on-premises migration solutions to promote cloud adoption
Support Project Server on-premises, Project Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams connected “project management” services and tools. This includes Planner, Planner for the Web and Project Apps and the integration with Power BI Report Server, Power BI, Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
Provide support and training for Visio products both perpetual and online software, to include Visio Standard, Visio Professional, and Visio Plan 1 and Plan 2
Communicate and work directly with the Microsoft team supporting Boeing. This includes working independently as well as a group to address open issues and problems, life cycle product management and support of the project management suite of tools
Support identifying emerging business and customer driven requirements associated with project management tools delivered by Microsoft for on-premises and cloud services
Support and build Power BI and Power BI Report server reporting associated with the customer Project Management services, to include end customer training activities
Design, lead and develop project management solutions using cloud-based tools and services
Design, create and lead the sharing of project management tool information using best practices, demos, tips and tricks, Q&A, etc.
Create and manage customer educational resources, like Teams Channels and recuring public forums meetings (once or twice monthly)
Support the transition of on-premises project management tools and services through the identification and development of cloud solutions
Support Boeing’s commitment to adopt cloud services and solution architecture
Develop resources with organizational strategic directions
Lead, direct, and manage Portfolio/Program Management requirements
Develop, implement and support Enterprise Portfolio, Program and Project Management capabilities used in Project Server, Project Online and Planner for the web
Develop and establish methodologies to ensure projects are accurate and auditable
Provide project management oversight and facilitation support for SharePoint Online & Teams integration, including implementation activities & strategies
Participate, lead and guide Customer Engagements, Consultation, Requirements Gathering, Training and Product Demonstrations
Provide On-Call Rotation Support (Escalations, Customers) – Weekly rotation schedule
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with program management, project management and/or business operations
5+ years of experience with SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and other M365 collaboration tools
5+ years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies
5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps/Git or AGILE development
5+ years of experience with on-premises systems, including servers, virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and basic data center management
3+ years of experience with standard project scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and Project Server
3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence/data analytics tools (Microsoft Power BI, Dashboards, SQL, Tableau, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active U.S. Security Clearance (e.g., Secret, Top Secret)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
Experience with PowerShell, SharePoint Online (SPO) and Microsoft Graph
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and Infrastructure as Service (IaaS)
Experience with Software testing, and running demos
Experience with Service and Technical Architecture
Experience with SharePoint, Project Server User Forum Planning and Facilitation
Experience with Technical Change Control and Coordination
Experience with System Account Management
Experience with Process and Knowledge Management
Experience with implementing, configuring and supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), Government Community Cloud High (GCC-H) environments to support security and compliance standards like Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), National Institute of Standard Technology (NIST)
Experience with Technical Operations Coordination and Cross Functional Teams
Experience with web interfaces and user experience
Effective communications with leadership, stakeholders, and team members

Summary pay range: $120,700 - $174,800
