The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level Programmer Analyst to join the team in Kent, WA.
The selected candidate will join the Production Systems Design team within the Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S) organization. You will collaborate with team members located in Washington, South Carolina and India to develop software solutions to meet customer needs.
We keep the spindles cutting, the lasers inspecting and robots operating. We build the Information Technology capabilities of today and the future to commission, program, simulate, and execute Numerical Control and Robotic machines around the enterprise. Position Responsibilities:
Performs the design, program, test, implementation and documentation of complex computing applications and software i.e. web application(s) and Application Programming Interfaces
Collaborates with product managers, product owners, technical team members, business stakeholders, and designers to implement enhancements to the applications
Performs analysis of end user processes to define application requirements
Writes and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications
Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain functionality and performance
Identifies and recommends improvements
Performs design review meetings to assist in the software design process
Develops software solutions to meet design specifications utilizing standard methodologies and tools
Performs unit testing to validate software meets design specifications
Develops and manages test plans and procedures to verify that the solution meets the requirements
Identifies and dispositions defects as required
Assists in validating discrepancies and issues
Assists in the development and execution of implementation plans
Ensures that non-functional requirements such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability are being considered when architecting solutions
Contributes to the ongoing learning and success of the team, and the company, by sharing knowledge through mentorship, collaboration, and aiding in the documentation
Keeps job knowledge up to date by studying new development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal and professional networks, participating in professional organizations
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3 + years of experience programming in C, C#, C++, Java, Python or Visual Basic
1+ years of experience developing applications with SQL databases
1+ years of experience with release tools (Azure DevOps, Artifactory, Gitlab, Maven), configuration management, monitoring, virtualization and containerization
Experience working with software development lifecycles
Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Experience with Agile and or SAFe Principles and Methodologies
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher
Experience with cloud technologies such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Servies (AWS), Azure, or OpenShift
Experience with micro-service-based architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes
Experience developing web applications and web services
Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems and familiarity with Numerical Control (NC)
Experience in application integration/migration with both Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and In-House applications
Experience with relevant manufacturing processes and equipment, such as metals machining, composite manufacturing, assembly, and inspections
Experience working with cross-functional teams and willingness to adopt a user-centered mindset

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $100,300 - $135,700
