at our Boeing Jacksonville, Florida location. This position is with the Stress team supporting production of MRO operations aircraft.
Position Responsibilities:
- Evaluate strength of structural non-conformances and repairs
- Apply knowledge of structural analysis principles to assess and resolve product/process issues discovered throughout the product lifecycle
- Analyze MRB dispositions for structural integrity and identify, document and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety
- Provide alternate repair recommendations as necessary to Liaison Engineering to meet structural requirements
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and representatives to support certification of airplane structural components
- Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
- Positive & proactive mindset, highly motivated team member willing to manage multiple assignments and work with a sense of urgency
- Utilize LEAN best practices
- Proactive collaboration with customer, build positive relationships. (i.e. Liaison Engineering and Operations teams)
- Effective communication with other lead engineers, team members, and management.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelors, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- 9+ years of experience working with aircraft stress analysis and/or structural analysis, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of structures experience with Boeing Aircraft FA-18 and P-8.
- Experience in Model Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA and PDM.
- Experience with Boeing tools such as IAS, CSW, and Structures Workstation (SWS).
- Experience with composite structures and stress analysis.
- Ability to lead and work independently in a team environment.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to make decisions and deliver results.
- Committed to finding a way to resolve problems and keep commitments.
Typical Education & Experience:
Experienced-Level:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Associates) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Masters, Bachelors or Associates +3 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.

Pay Range: $122,400 - $149,600
