The Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Systems Engineering (SE) Capability Team is seeking a Systems Engineering First Line Manager with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience to lead a team of talented engineers responsible for providing SE and MBSE expertise to various programs and projects across the enterprise.
This position is located at one of the following locations: Huntsville, AL, Arlington, VA, Berkeley, MO, El Segundo and Huntington Beach, CA, Everett, Seattle and Tukwila, WA, Mesa, AZ, Oklahoma City, OK and Philadelphia, PA

The ideal candidate will develop and maintain relationships with direct reports, customers, suppliers, program leadership, and peers across the enterprise to support systems engineering rigor through MBSE application. In addition, the candidate will champion a culture of inclusion, continuous learning, and professional development.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes pertaining to SE application through MBSE methodology
Serve as the BDS MBSE representative to the SE / MBSE Governance Technical Boards, Councils, and Committees, to provide technical management in support of MBSE initiatives and projects coordinated through those forums
Partner with peers and stakeholders across the BDS divisions to stay informed of and address systemic challenges related to MBSE adoption and execution, continually seeking out opportunities for tool and process improvements
Lead the team responsible for monitoring and addressing MBSE Help Desk Tickets
Lead the team responsible for MBSE tool updates and project migrations; MBSE Design Practice, user guide and tip sheet updates; and providing MBSE support to programs
Partner closely with IT and Business Unit peers to provide the optimal MBSE tool solution in support of program execution
Promote employee recognition and build a culture that improves employee satisfaction and retains a skilled and motivated workforce
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
9 or more years' related work experience
Experience leading projects across multiple organizations and functions
Strong understanding of Systems Engineering
Experience with applying Systems Engineering through Model-Based Systems Engineering methodology and tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Control Account Management (CAM) / Earned Value Management (EVM) experience

Mesa, AZ: $137,700 - $186,300
Oklahoma City, OK: $128,350 - $173,650
Philadelphia, PA: $147,050 - $198,950
