Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunities for Senior Quality Engineers to join our Quality team located in Huntsville, AL!
This position’s primary duties will be supporting BDS programs leading First Article Inspection (FAI), Corrective Actions, Non-Conformance Review (NCR) disposition, review/approving/interpreting engineering drawing requirements, approving work instructions, and interfacing with customers and stakeholders. Successful candidates will have experience leading and supporting cross-functional engineering teams.
This is an on-site position that currently supports a 4x10 work schedule on Shift A Monday – Thursday 6:00AM – 4:30PM. Initial training and future support may occur on variable shift. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and may change in the future based on business needs.

Position Responsibilities:
- Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
- Provides interpretation of complex requirements.
- Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
- Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities. Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
- Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
- Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Develops and implements corrective actions.
- Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
- Works under minimal direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's or higher in one of relevant fields of study listed
- Experience with AS9100 and/or a similar Quality Management System standard
- More than 5 years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
- More than 5 years of experience presenting technical briefings to various audiences
- More than 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment
- More than 5 years of experience training and/or mentoring Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
- More than 5 years of experience working with Non-Conformance (NCR) processes
- More than 1 year of experience with First Article Inspections (FAI) (i.e. AS9102)
- More than 5 years of experience performing line stock checks
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active U.S. Security Clearance
- More than 3 years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
- More than 3 years of experience interfacing with multiple levels of leadership

Summary pay range: USD 108,800 – 147,200
