Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will manage first line leaders that oversee manufacturing, repair/rework, functional/environmental test, and sustainment activities with a focus on improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation and People.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Shift:
This position is for 4th shift. The candidate will specifically be working shift B, working Monday - Thursday (4:30 pm - 3:00 am). Shift may be subject to change depending on business needs.
Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Must be flexible with schedule
3+ years of experience working as a leader or manager
3+ years of experience driving improvements across safety, quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and people on production and development programs
3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
3+ years of experience leading cross-functional and Lean+ projects
3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a production/manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher
Active Security clearance preferred
Direct functional experience within Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
Deep production program experience across driving improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and People on production and development programs.
Effective change leader; Ability to build an environment of inclusion, transparency and trust
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and rally a team in challenging work environments

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Pay range: $124,950 - $169,050
