Lab Test Engineer - Associate
Why This is an Exciting Role:
In this role, you will be a Test Engineer responsible for the integration and test of GMD products in the Early Integration Labs. You will assist in lab build-up and execution of GMD Lab integration for the upgrades, both hardware and software, for all of the GMD elements. You will also develop and release related Test Plans and Procedures required to support test execution. You will be positioned to support the customer and execute critical testing in different lab environments.
A Mid-level Lab Test Engineer on this team will:
- Provide Integration and Execution Support to Early Integration Labs
- Lead integration activities and implementation of the System Under Test (SUT) and support test execution activities in the Early Integration Labs
- Work with team of engineers, system administrators, network engineers console operators, product subject matter experts and subcontractors to coordinate all phases of integration, test, checkout and verification
- Develop, review and release Test Plans and Procedures required for test execution
- Utilize basic engineering troubleshooting skills and configuration management best practices
- Openly communicate and collaborate across engineering and non-engineering functions
- Develop, Review and Release Post-Test Documentation
- Support relevant meetings, reviews, briefings and working groups
- Work effectively in a rapid paced team environment

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in the following areas:
- Collaborating with customers to understand test requirements and test objectives
- Integrating multiple complex components into a system-level architecture
- Documenting and Trouble-shooting hardware and software anomalies in a fast paced environment
- Supporting the adjudication process for documented hardware and software anomalies
- Developing test procedures for critical software and hardware testing
- Working in a Collaborative Environment with different Engineering Disciplines
- Providing direction and technical support to teams within the Engineering Function
Desired Qualifications:
- Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program experience
- Government Contract Experience
- System of Systems Integration experience
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance and identify root cause and recommend solutions
- Microsoft Project and Schedule software experience
- Knowledge of Agile software development process
- Good verbal and written communication skills, must be able to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
Telework Availability: None
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. ( An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.)
This position requires clearing a background check and an enhanced Personal Conflict of Interest (PCI) requirements as a condition for employment.
Summary Pay Range:
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
$105,000 - $125,000
