The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Estimating and Pricing Analyst (Level 4) or Estimating and Pricing Analyst - Subject Matter Expert (Level 5) to join the Government Estimating Team supporting the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Contracts in Huntsville, Alabama. This hybrid position offers relocation assistance based on candidate eligibility and the opportunity to contribute to one of Boeing’s most critical defense programs.
Senior Estimating and Pricing Analyst
In this role, you will serve as a key leader in the development and oversight of complex, high-value proposals and you’ll play a pivotal role in process improvement initiatives and supporting internal and external audit requests..
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Developing, maintaining, and utilizing advanced pricing models, as well as preparing single-source proposal cost estimates that encompass labor, material, and Interorganizational Work Transactions (IWTs)
Overseeing the full lifecycle of proposal development, from interpreting highly technical requirements and evaluating government Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to designing, building, and supporting cost volumes and pricing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Serving as a trainer and consultant to other estimators
Providing guidance and support to both program estimating teams and cross-functional proposal groups that include engineering, supply chain, logistics, and other key departments
Estimating and Pricing Analyst - Subject Matter Expert
In addition to the above responsibilities, as the Subject Matter Expert, a core aspect of your role will be driving the adoption of scalable, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) compliant estimating and pricing solutions.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Outlining and streamlining government estimating proposal processes
Simplifying and automating methods, and ensuring proposals adhere to regulations such as the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)
Leveraging your expertise in statistical analysis and risk analysis - applying techniques like learning curve analysis, parametric modeling, and regression analysis - to develop data-driven estimates and decision making

Position Responsibilities:
Leads cost volume, which oversees the development of high value estimates from highly complex or unique technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program
Evaluates and makes recommendations based on complex requests for proposals; as well as substantiates estimates and assembles price proposals
Develops, maintains, and uses complex pricing models
Demonstrates Project management skills focusing on large scale simplification projects
Provides training and support to program estimating teams as required
Demonstrates problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Consults large cross-functional teams to understand complex estimating requirements and processes, and translates them to scalable, compliant, best-in-class solutions
Applies statistical analysis to large data sets to support the development of complex estimating methodologies (e.g., Quantity Adjustment Curves, Learning Curve/Rate Curve Analysis, Parametric Analysis, Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs), Data mining and regression analysis, etc.)
Conveys complex analyses and recommendations
Supports the rollout of new or enhanced estimating tools, methods, and processes
Consults on the development/application/maintenance of factors for estimating, pricing, and proposals
Performs complex analysis, consults team members and leadership regarding recommendations in support of estimating and pricing methodologies, tools, and processes
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience in a finance, estimating or related role
3+ years of experience building proposals utilizing pricing systems, estimating and pricing tools and processes
3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
1+ years of experience working on government proposals, to include Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliant proposals
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 5: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience Developing TINA Compliant Proposals
Experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf pricing software, such as Pro-Pricer
Experience leading process improvement initiatives with cross functional teams
Ability to utilize strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate data and recommendations in Senior Leadership briefings
Experience building executive level presentations and making recommendations
Experience developing and deploying training to large, diverse audiences
Experience supporting audits led by Defense Contract Audit Agency/Defense Contract Management (DCAA/DCMA)
Experience with PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and presentations

Summary pay range (Senior, Level 4): $106,250 - $143,750
Summary pay range (Senior, Level 5): $134,300 - $181,700
