Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is hiring an Associate or Experienced Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineer) to join the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) team located in Huntsville, AL. This position is seeking engineers with Material Review and Disposition experience, to perform/support troubleshooting of non-conformances, RCCA technical analysis and provide solutions to non-conforming products. The position will work directly with cross-functional and production engineering teams to meet production program objectives.
Boeing Huntsville has multi-year contracts to develop, manufacture, and test the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile seeker and future improvements. These contracts are driving significant, long-term growth for the PAC-3 engineering team on the Huntsville campus.
This position is for A (1st) Shift (M-Thur 4x10)
Position Responsibilities:
- Applies basic knowledge of Boeing design and/or engineering principles to develop interim or final engineering solutions to product/process issues throughout the production lifecycle
- Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis and develops dispositions for design non-conformances
- Applies engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues to develop interim and final engineering solutions
- Provides written dispositions for routine design non-conformances
- Participates in Material Review Boards (As Required)
- Represents the engineering community in the production environment, providing lineside support
- Recommends simple non-destructive test procedures, tools, standards
- Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards
- Develops and implements product/process improvements
- This position may require shift flexibility, based on business needs
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed, based on business needs
- Non-standard work week options may also be utilized to meet business objectives
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- Knowledge of repair concepts and methodologies including standard repair processes, component repair concepts, structural and composite repair procedures, electrical repair procedures, and basic system repair processes
- 2+ years of experience with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE) Authority (including participating in Material Review Board and Integrated Product Team activities related to repairs)
- Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
- 1+ year Material Review Board Certification experience
- 2+ years of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
- Aerospace experience, fabrications, manufacturing, and/or additive manufacturing experience
- 2+ years Production engineering experience with relevant technological knowledge.
- Experience in solving simple to complex problems
- 2+ years Electrical/mechanical system knowledge, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repair methodology
- Knowledge of circuit card manufacturing, including Selective Solder and SMT
- 2 + years Functional system level testing
Typical Education/Experience:
Level 2: 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.

Summary pay range:
Associate (Level 2): $73,950 - $100,050
Experienced (Level 3) $90,100 - $121,900
