Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Crane Operator to join our team in Huntington Beach, CA.

***Must be NCCCO accredited Crane Operator for large swing cab***

 Position Responsibilities:

• Rigging and operation of all types of mobile cranes to lift, move, lower, position, load, and unload all kinds of items within the capacity of the equipment being operated.
• perform rigging of loads to trucks, directing, and guiding, the movement made by other crane operators.
• Determine the most suitable type and number of lifting devices to use and the correct method of securing load so that weight limitations and clearances are observed, load properly balanced, and weight evenly distributed to avoid damage.
• Plan and lay out for safe crane setup and operation.
• Correlate the length and angle of the boom with the weight to be lifted and determine boom rotation clearances to avoid damage to the load and surrounding equipment or personnel.
• Operate safely and correctly positioning of equipment to which assigned.
• Operate all mobile cranes to lift, move, lower, position all kinds of hardware and equipment, and operate cranes where maximum configuration limits are approached. Change booms, jigs, and hoist lines when necessary.
• Inspect cranes and equipment and perform operator maintenance.
• Guide movement to other crane operators by the-use of hand signals or mobile two-way radios.
• May operate tugs, forklifts, and overhead cranes in the performance of normal crane operator duties and assignments.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Experience using a Mobile Crane
• Must be a NCCCO accredited crane operator for large swing cab

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience operating Forklifts, Scissor lifts, or Manlifts
• Experience with Rigging
• Experience running Overhead crane with appendant line or RC remote is a plus

This is an hourly position governed by a collective bargaining agreement (IAM 725)

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $22.00 - $42.39
