The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Contract Management Specialist to join the Intelligence Systems (IS) group within Boeing Defense, Space and Security in Herndon, VA.
The position is considered a hybrid position but requires significant on-site presence. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, exercise sound business judgement, and offer strategic recommendations to effectively manage risk, and build strong customer relationships to ensure the continued success of the business.
Position Responsibilities:
Exercises appropriate signature authority, oversees and participates with a strategic perspective in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of (IS) products, and services
Prepares, negotiates, executes, interprets and administers legally binding contractual agreements for The Boeing Company
Summarizes highly complex contractual issues, oversees and consults on the development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation
Represents the company in external negotiations with a broad set of U.S. Government (USG) customers in both prime and subcontractor relationships
Coordinates flow-down and flow-up of prime terms and conditions with supplier management
Facilitates prompt payment and supports the achievement of company financial goals and objectives
Ensures strategic alignment and partnership with other internal functional disciplines
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Active Top Secret Clearance
Ability to obtain Full Scope Polygraph
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
5+ years of experience building, developing and maintaining customer relationships
5+ years of experience working with acquisition policies, e.g., USG Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance
5+ years of experience supporting development, negotiation and execution of complex USG contracts and subcontracts under USG primes
Experience with both competitive and non-competitive proposal development
Ability to perform with a significant amount of autonomy and exercise good judgment in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
Ability to advise all levels of management on contractual rights and obligations, risk avoidance and mitigation, strategy, and problem solving
Ability to mentor and guide less experienced personnel

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $146,200 – $197,800
