You’ll own delivery across a broad product suite — Instructor/Operator Stations, threat environments, immersive visuals, and Live/Virtual/Constructive solutions — that power flight, maintenance, and aircrew training for tactical fighters, commercial derivatives, rotorcraft, and autonomous systems. Our solutions are used by domestic and international defense customers around the world. You will lead a highly diverse community of 100+ engineers working in a large Scaled Agile™ organization, where strong communication, relentless collaboration, and a focus on coaching and technical excellence are the keys to success.

As a manager in BSM you will build and sustain high-performing software teams by attracting, developing, and retaining diverse talent through coaching, mentoring, and career-path stewardship. You will champion software functional excellence — from sound architecture and automated testing to repeatable delivery practices — and instill a culture of continuous improvement where lessons learned drive measurable gains in quality and predictability. You will also navigate multiple, often competing stakeholder priorities across internal Boeing organizations and external customers, proactively managing expectations, setting clear and pragmatic direction for your teams, and coordinating cross-functional dependencies to ensure aligned, timely outcomes.
BSM is a large, diverse software development team, which is supported by multiple managers.
