The Boeing Company is hiring a Senior Accountant to support the Aerospace Composite Center Accounting group located in Hazelwood, MO.
The Aerospace Composites Center (a non-fully integrated subsidiary of The Boeing Company) has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing’s Fighter Programs. We invest in our skilled workforce, systems, and infrastructure to build innovative cutting-edge products with flawless execution.
In this role, ensuring adherence to both internal and external regulation is a paramount responsibility as there tends to be a lot of focus around labor cost. As a business partner support function, this group routinely interacts with a variety of program finance groups and accounting groups.
Position Responsibilities:
- Researches, prepares, reviews, and reconciles financial statements and reports
- Analyzes and mitigates compliance risks and errors of a complex nature, to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations
- Interprets and analyzes complex directives, policies, and regulatory requirements, providing invaluable recommendations on new and existing accounting issues
- Uses cost accounting expertise, identifying and communicating cost collection requirements while developing, implementing, and maintaining cost accounting structures, systems, and tools
- Supports the development and deployment of changes to accounting tools and processes, using your adaptability and problem-solving skills to navigate through complex challenges
- Supports financial reporting, material costs, labor costs, intercompany transactions, banking, accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), and capital expenditures
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business or a related field
- 5+ years of experience accounting, finance, business or a related field
- 5+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with one or more of the following financial systems: Cognos, Interactive Reporting Environment (IRE), Enterprise Analysis System (EAS), Cost Schedule Performance Reporting (CSPR), Enterprise Planning and Analysis System (EPAS)
- Experience leading a team or a project
- Experience in Government Accounting
- Experience communicating across organizations with suppliers and leadership

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $104,500 - $141,450
