The Boeing Company - Government Estimating, is seeking a Data & Cost Analyst/Applied Mathematician (Associate) to join the Estimating Data & Analytics team. This challenging role will support development of AI-powered estimating tools, parametric cost estimates, Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs), cost model development, and data collection, organization, and analysis.
Position Responsibilities:
- Working with Boeing data systems (IRE, EAS, PMAS, CSPR, etc) to create databases and data tools, understanding how our different data sources connect to link them for various data tool solutions, managing the ETL process
- Leveraging statistical software such as JMP, R, and others to build out analytical models and perform analyses
- Developing analytical solutions for imperfect datasets
- Data normalization, working with and understanding datasets from a variety of programs/platforms and systems. Mapping data to common baselines to normalize and analyze cross platform data
- Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs), specifically, to power data analysis and solutions for estimating
- Influences colleagues and customers to use mathematical tools and processes
- Codes, tests and maintains data tools and analytical models
- Lead and support in the design of cost models, dashboards, metrics and reports utilizing standard technologies and methodologies that support cost analysis objectives
- Independently determines and develops approaches to mathematically sound assessments in support of cost estimates, and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts
