The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Government Accountant to join the team in Hazelwood, MO.
This Associate Government Accountant position will include representing the team as a technical expert across sites and functions and supporting initiatives with internal customers. This position also offers the opportunity to lead and collaborate on efforts that develop the people, processes and tools within the team.
This position is within the Government Labor Accounting Team, which is responsible for validation of labor processing, maintenance of various labor processes, including labor rate updates and analysis, labor suspense, labor cost transfers, contract labor, supplemental compensation, lump sum payments, retro wage adjustments, labor compliance checks and bulk labor allocation processing for the Boeing enterprise. In this role, ensuring adherence to both internal and external regulation is a paramount responsibility, as there tends to be a lot of focus around labor cost. As a business partner support function, this group routinely interacts with a variety of program finance and accounting teams.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform data validation and review of cost accounting data
Analyze and interpret data to provide business insights that aid in decision making by business and finance leaders
Engage with the business to assess internal and external factors, their impact on business performance and to achieve organizational objectives
Ensure compliance and champion internal controls and procedures
Perform critical accounting functions such as cost accounting, account reconciliations and journal preparations
Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related role
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher
Experience with one or more of the following financial systems: Cognos, Interactive Reporting Environment (IRE), Enterprise Analysis System (EAS), GOLD, Enterprise Labor Distribution (ELD)
Experience in Cost Accounting
Experience in Microsoft Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $69,700 - $94,300
