Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a motivated and talented Air Proprietary Lead Systems Architect (Level 4) to join the Digital Ecosystem team in the St. Louis, Missouri region.
You will be joining a high-performing, cross-functional team responsible for developing a future-ready, state-of-the-art Digital Ecosystem. This position is contingent upon a future contract award.
As the System Architect, you own the overall technical baseline and system design of the next generation Digital Ecosystem. This future digital engineering ecosystem consists of interconnected technologies, platforms (such as manned and/or unmanned aircraft), and services that work together to enable collaboration and data exchanges among various participants, including customer and industry. This interconnectedness enhances customer mission readiness and effectiveness and drives innovation.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead system refinement, development, integration, testing, and fielding of a digital ecosystem using System Engineering tools such as CAMEO, Jira/Confluence, Gitlab.
- Lead certification and accreditation of a digital ecosystem to ensure operational availability
- Execute Technical Performance Measures plan for the digital ecosystem
- Lead IPT execution and maintain performance metrics
- Collaborate with multi-disciplined engineering teams across the program to understand their engineering needs
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)clearance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 9+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- 3+ years’ experience leading and developing cross functional teams and collaborating across engineering disciplines
- 3+ years of proven ability to create and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external customers (both government and commercial
- 3+ years of experience with and/or functional understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering in at least one modeling language (SySML, UML, and/or DODAF).
- 3+ years of experience in Digital Engineering and Model Based Engineering (MBE)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience in applying engineering processes and principles
- Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation
- Experience with systems development and integration
- Experience with integration with Enterprise and Customer systems
- Experience with obtaining and maintaining IATT, ATO, ATC, etc.
- Experience with Earned value management
- Experience with Model Based Engineering / Model Based Systems Engineering
- Coursework or Work-related programming experience with any of the following tools: CAMEO, Jira/Confluence, Gitlab
Typical Education & Experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $119,850 – $162,150
