BGS has an exciting opportunity for a Support Engineering Data Specialist to join our Fort Walton Beach Technical Data Services organization. Join a mission-focused team supporting C-32/C-40 executive transport aircrafts by transforming engineering source data into clear, accurate technical publications used by maintainers in the field. As a Technical Data Designer, you’ll research and validate engineering data, develop maintenance-level manuals and illustrated procedures, and help ensure safe, mission-ready aircraft. This role is ideal for detail-oriented technical writers with on-aircraft maintenance experience who want to make a direct impact on aircraft readiness and operator safety.

Position Responsibilities:
- Develop multiple publication elements for all levels of maintenance for fielded equipment, minor systems or multiple sub systems
- Research and evaluate technical source data and specifications
- Develop or maintain technical publication elements to include theory of operations, testing and troubleshooting procedures, illustrated parts breakdown, removal and installation procedures and schematic diagrams
- Collect, research and analyze source data and validate source data based on predefined and developed assumptions
- Estimate the impact of the proposal or changes to the publication elements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 2+ years of experience with Technical Data writing
- Experience with on aircraft maintenance
- Experience using technical publications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Use and development of C-32/C-40 Technical Data
- Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings and source data
- Proficiency in applications and authoring tools such as eMOD, Temporary Information Files (TIF), VMware Horizon Client, WSRD, REDARS, Arbortext, Adobe Pro X, Excel, Word, and Boeing software applications

Summary pay range: $64,600 - $87,400
