Senior Business Architect — Manufacturing (Aerospace)
The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Business Architect to support digital transformation projects in support of our Commercial Manufacturing division in Everett, WA.
As part of the Business Architecture team, you will convert engineering and operations strategy into target-state manufacturing capabilities and model end-to-end processes that enable improved quality, throughput, compliance, and connect the digital thread across our critical systems; ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management).
A successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can create and execute a plan, and possesses in their toolkit excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration while creating and maintaining business architecture deliverables.
Team Responsibilities
Add, update, and maintain architecture and process artifacts in the repositories
Change management, including baseline analysis and change request (CR) initiation and closure
Use current state process and tool instructions and data repositories to identify and assess baselines
Partner with Information Technology (IT) to define and integrate processes to systems, application, data, and technology architectures
Ensure compliance with process and architecture governance and oversight requirements
Lead and facilitate complex, cross-functional process definition activities focused on establishing current state understanding and target state standardization and improvements
Integrate with enterprise Business Architecture to align, consume and/or update functional and business unit specific process elements including capabilities, value streams, requirements, processes, information products, roles, applications, and training
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, peers, and process owners for effective sponsorship, process definition, and improvement adoption
Partner with team on communicating progress, challenges, and successes to leadership and stakeholders, fostering transparency and collaboration
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5 years of experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing
3 years of experience with business and process architecture
3 years of experience using modeling tools to capture architecture artifacts (e.g., ARIS, Cameo, Visio, etc.)
3 years of experience defining capability maps, value streams, and modeling as-is and to-be processes
3 years of experience using modeling tools to capture architecture artifacts (e.g., ARIS, Cameo, Visio, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher
Proven experience in leading workshops and partnering with cross-functional teams
Strong experience with integrated processes across PLM (3DX, Teamcenter), ERP/SAP, and MOM/MES
Exceptional experience collecting and analyzing data to summarize findings and develop conclusions
Experience with Boeing catalogs and libraries (e.g., SVS/OVS/Enterprise Processes, OBCM, TermBank, etc.)
Experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100), SMS or related)
Solid understanding of the Boeing Production System (BPS)
Solid understanding of the Boeing Production System (BPS)
Solid understanding of the Boeing Production System (BPS)
Experience updating command media at Boeing
Experience with software development in Agile methodology

Summary Pay Range:
$118,000 - $128,000
