Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead an integrated team for the KC-46 Program. This position is in Everett, WA.
This Manager will lead a diverse complex and high performing team in the development, maintenance, implementation, and improvements to the program’s manufacturing build plans throughout the Product Lifecycle. This leadership also includes program build architecture, design-build integration, manufacturing change management, control station build plans, reconciliation, change management in ETAC, equipment and tooling plans and requirements, manufacturing work instructions from Product Design Definition (PDD), and Bill of Process (BOP).
This position will have the responsibility of integrating and maintaining relationships with both internal and external business partners and customers. This manager will be expected to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. This manager will have oversight and approval of technical approaches, costs, projects, products and processes.

- Manages budget, quality, schedule, and safety activities as well as develops and executes improvements processes and projects in alignment with program priorities.
- Monitors and manages teams performance against set priorities, expectations, and Boeings Values and Behaviors.
- Develops, maintains, and reports regularly on team performance metrics and projects.
- Partners closely with peer managers for cross team support, critical issues, and program goals.

We are seeking candidates who are able to work 100% onsite. The candidate is also expected to work a weekend (manager rotation) and daily overtime as required. This position involves daily exposure to factory and flight line environments which includes stairs, trip hazards, high noise areas, and entering airplanes during their many stages of build and test.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study, in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Current or prior Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience working in a production environment.
- Experience in leading or managing teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing scope, responsibilities, and job requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners.
- Ability to build a safe environment of inclusion, transparency, and trust.
- Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes.
- Previous experience in leading, mentoring, and engaging individuals and teams.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $138,550 - $187,450
