Jeppesen A Boeing Company Total Quality is seeking a Quality Systems Specialist to support our Digital Aviation Solutions business. Join a growing team focused on ensuring quality & compliance across a diverse portfolio of solutions including flight navigation, safety operations, crew efficiency, and airplane health. This position is perfect for someone excited by the world of aviation and eager to work in a collaborative environment to deliver innovative products to airline customers. Business travel may be required as needed.
You will join a global team of quality professionals and serve as an independent quality consultant providing end-to-end quality management support to all leadership levels, business units, and functional organizations. Primary assignments involve activities that require knowledge of the quality discipline and aviation regulatory requirements.
While the work is based in Colorado, Washington, or Texas, part of the team is located across Europe, which does necessitate some early morning meetings. Most team members are currently working a hybrid model spending 2-3 days per week in the office with a flexible schedule.
Position Responsibilities:
- Serves as subject matter expert to management and special external spokesperson to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives
- Regularly contributes to the development of new job practices, techniques, and standards. Recognized as a job expert within the Quality organization
- Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation while ensuring alignment with organization objectives
- Creates and provides education/coaching on quality services (e.g., audits, problem investigations, continuous improvement, corrective action, and preventive action) and quality management principles
- Develops metrics in partnership with business stakeholders which provide quantitative measures regarding process health to enable data-based decision making
- Performs audits (i.e., product, system, and process) to determine conformance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, DO-200, AS9100) as well as regulatory and customer requirements
- Works with higher level management to implement process improvements impacting multiple organizations and locations
- Performs work with minimal direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
- Continuously seeks to expand and improve personal knowledge in quality management best practices
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- 5+ years of experience utilizing process improvement and problem-solving methodologies
- 3+ years of experience working with regulatory agencies (FAA, EASA and/or CASA)
- Visual, oral, and written communication skills
- 15% travel
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with FAA Letters of Acceptance (LoA)
- ISO-9001:2015 lead auditor certification
- Experience working with RTCA DO-200B/ED-76A and AC 20-153B
- ASQ, CQA or other professional certifications
- Six Sigma Green Belt highly desired
- Experience working in SAFe or Agile teams

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $107,100.00-$144,900.00
