The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Officer - Avionics to join our P-8A Poseidon engineering team. This is your chance to work on one of the world's most advanced maritime patrol aircraft — delivering engineering solutions that keep Australia's Poseidon fleet safe, mission-ready and at the cutting edge.

What you'll do

Deliver engineering support across the P-8A aircraft, mission support and training systems.
Develop robust engineering artefacts under our Engineering Management System, with opportunities to gain Engineering Authority.
Produce, review and evaluate technical documents, instructions and investigation reports.
Liaise with Defence and industry stakeholders to identify, analyse and resolve technical issues rapidly and effectively.
Help build and sustain a high-performing technical support team.

What we're looking for

Experience as a Technical Officer or Technical Assessor with a proven record of delivering technical outcomes, investigations and risk exposure.
Strong capability in analysis, reporting and identifying system risks.
Experience operating within a Technical Regulatory Framework (or equivalent).
Excellent written and oral communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
