Position Overview:

The Indian Navy (IN) currently operates P8-I aircraft at INS (Indian Naval Air Station) Hansa, Dabolim, Goa.

Boeing India Defense Private Limited (BIDPL) team is looking for an Experienced Field Service Representative for the P-8I Sustainment Program supporting P8-I aircraft at INS Hansa Goa.

The successful candidate will assist the Indian Navy customer by providing multi‑disciplinary technical expertise and 737 NG / P8-I systems knowledge to ensure a high, sustained level of operational and maintenance proficiency.

Ideal candidate must have demonstrated & successful experience working with either a commercial airline, MRO, or the Indian Armed Forces (Air Force or Navy).

Position Responsibilities:

• Guidance in resolving maintenance and operational issues related to P8-I aircraft, systems and GSE.

• Respond to maintenance issues by interpreting technical documents.

• Monitoring aircraft performance and providing recommendations for resolution of potential issues.

• Analysis of technical data and evaluation of maintenance procedures.

• Working with reach back organization in US to isolate aircraft equipment problems not detected by diagnostics and documentation. This includes submitting technical queries to the reach back organization.

• Hands on assistance to provide on the job training to Indian Navy personnel on issues related to the maintenance, operations, troubleshooting and fault rectification

• Ability to travel on short notice providing emergent repair action assistance.

• Ability to respond during after-hours, weekends and holidays. 

• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor’s Degree is required as basic qualification with 8-12 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance.

• 5 years or more experience working in the maintenance of 737 NG or P8-I

• Able to work independently without high levels of supervision (self-motivated)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Creativity in problem solving

• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to deal with both internal and external stakeholders

• Prior experience working with Indian Navy or Indian armed forces

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 8 years' related work experience.
