Position Overview:
Boeing India Software Engineering team is currently looking for an Associate Software Developer - .Net Full Stack to join their team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. As a Software Developer, you will be part of the Tech Solutions team, which develops software applications and Digital products that create direct value to its customers.
Position Responsibilities:
- As a Software Developer Team Member, you will be expected to translate requirements into well-structured, maintainable code.
- Work independently on moderately complex features, perform code reviews, and troubleshoot defects while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- You'll be given the chance to Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, tackling projects that span various businesses, and amplify your adaptability, problem-solving prowess, and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
- Responsibilities include implementing APIs and UI components, writing unit/integration tests, following CI/CD practices, and mentoring junior developers to improve code quality and delivery cadence.
- This role requires solid knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and familiarity with cloud or container platforms (Azure/Docker) and Agile workflows.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher is required as a Basic Qualification.
- 5 to 8 years relevant experience in below skill domains.
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, and related technologies.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, NodeJS).
- Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Expertise in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with various data formats (JSON, XML).
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and ORMs (Entity Framework, Dapper). Familiarity with NoSQL databases and concepts.
- Working exposure with Agile (Scrum & SAFe) and DevOps
- Understanding of software testing principles and practices, including unit and integration tests.
- Hands on Experience with any one of the cloud platforms.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Cloud Basics: Basic familiarity with one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience in DevSecOps tools and processes
- Have exposure in GitLab, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube, Coverity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively and analytically.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Prior experience in Aviation domain is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters and 4 years' related work experience, bachelors and 5 to 8 years' related work experience, etc.)
