The Opportunity
As the MQ-28 program continues to grow at a rapid pace, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is currently seeking experienced DevSecOps engineers to join the MQ-28 Digital Model Ecosystem Team. Your position within the program will be pivotal towards building, deploying and maintaining a reliable and highly automated software development and deployment pipeline. This will ensure we can continue to maintain our agile approach and deliver world-leading capability to our Customer.
This role is based in Brisbane.
As an MQ-28 DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with software developers and system operators to manage code releases.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across development and operations teams.
- Automation and Tooling:
- Proven experience planning and implementing secure Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
- Optimize resource allocation and manage build pipeline services to support development and production environments.
- Monitoring and Performance:
- Implement monitoring solutions to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Analyze system performance metrics and troubleshoot issues to enhance application performance.
- Demonstrated ability to produce and maintain clear and concise documentation (e.g. ‘as built', configuration, system change and process documents).
Applicants are also expected to have:
- Demonstrated proficiency with the following tools:
- Installation, configuration, maintenance and optimization of Containerized Software (eg. Kubernetes, Docker, Podman).
- CI/CD development, implementation and automation (eg. Bitbucket, Bamboo, Artifactory & Gitlab).
- Developer VM's - configuration oversight of Windows, Ubuntu, and Redhat Operating Systems
- Configuration management - implementation and maintenance of Ansible playbooks.
- Familiarity with Security and Compliance requirements.
- Systematic and logical problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified System Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- This role is based in Brisbane and requires an NV1 security clearance.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (highly regarded)
