The Opportunity
We are seeking an Electromagnetic Effects Test Engineer to conduct electromagnetic effects testing at the Boeing Test Facility in Wacol. This is an exciting opportunity where someone with knowledge of EMI/EMC testing and verification would excel. The team of engineers and technicians that work within the Boeing Test Facility are key to the successful delivery of BDA's internal test programs so a consistent focus on our people is critical. Responsibilities
As an Electromagnetic Effects Test Engineer with the Boeing Test Facility, you will:
- Conduct test, and verification of EMI/EMC customer requirements across multiple defence programs and commercial customers.
- Continuous improvement of EMI/EMC Test Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Have experience in the use of EMC test equipment and key RF test equipment including Network Analysers, Spectrum Analysers, Power Amplifiers, Transient Generators and Oscilloscopes.
- Knowledge of automated test software to perform testing, collect data and produce test reports.
- Conduct testing in Semi-Anechoic chambers and Shielded Rooms.
- Knowledge of Emission and Susceptibility testing configurations to meet relevant standards with an emphasis on MIL-STD-461.
- Perform HIRF, RF COSITE, Antenna Coupling & RADHAZ analysis and test.
- Perform engineering analysis of customer requirements to provide proposed test schedule including test setups and estimated costings.
- Advise customers with EMI/EMC analysis and mitigation mechanisms to assist in the design process for compliance with relevant standards and troubleshooting existing systems.

To be considered for the role (Required Skills/Experience) you will have
- Tertiary degree qualification in engineering or related technical discipline.
- 2+ years' experience in applying relevant engineering practices, standards and regulations.
- Desirable previous experience with MIL-STD-461/464.
- Desirable knowledge of test facility compliance in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
- Previous EMI/EMC test experience in a lab environment.
