Boeing Defense & Security (BDS) East Region Supplier Quality Team for a Mid-Level Supplier Quality Engineer located in the New England region in Multiple Locations.
This hybrid position will be required to visit suppliers across multiple states within the New England region and the selected candidate must possess a valid Driver's License and own a vehicle to be used for business travel. Selected candidate may work from home when not meeting with suppliers in person.
Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products.
Documents and reports audit and assessment results.
Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements.
Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work.
Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.
Resolves routine issues and concerns.
This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
3+ years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management
Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA)
1+ year of experience in the Aerospace Industry
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience working with J-STD-001
1+ year of experience using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) Tools
Experience with AS9100 or other similar Quality Management System,
Experience with Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel and Power Point
3+ years of experience with First Article Inspection (i.e. AS91020)
3+ years of experience performing data analysis using excel
Experience interpreting GD&T and can apply the concepts for part inspection

Summary pay range: USD 94,350 – 127,650
