Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager (Level L) to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, Missouri.
Fighters Programs is seeking a Senior Program Manager (PM) to lead the Fighters F/A-18 Super Hornet (SH) Kuwait Program. The Kuwait SH program is concluding Block III Super Hornet hardware deliveries and installations, conducting Electronic Warfare (EW) development and ongoing platform integration efforts across multiple sites. The program manager will coordinate and be accountable to requirements for ongoing development efforts, hardware deliveries and preparation for platform sustainment.
The Project Manager will be responsible for working directly with US Navy (USN) program offices, Navy International Programs Office (NIPO), and the Kuwait Air Force (KAF). The Project Manager is also responsible for teaming with other Development Program Managers, BGS Program Managers and will work closely with cross functional teams to drive execution to first ferry through program completion. The ideal candidate will work under minimal supervision, be biased towards action, find solutions, collaborate respectfully, and enable the rest of the team to meet their commitments. Program management best practices combined with strong discipline, superb communication skills, and constructive engagement with all levels of organization (internal and with suppliers & customers) are key to success in this position
Position Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Evolve program operating rhythm, CONOPS, performance management system / metrics, recovery planning and program status reporting.
- Lead coordination and briefing responsibility for all internal and external reporting.
- Develops and executes integrated program plans, policies and procedures and leads program strategy, goals, objectives.
- Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees performing business management activities.
- Provides oversight and approval of contractual, financial and technical approaches, products and processes.
- Other responsibilities as required.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Gantt charts, MS PowerPoint, status charts, resource load charts.
- 3+ years of experience working with senior executive-level leaders, preparing reports with a high-level of visibility.
- 3+ years of experience leading a project or program
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing cross functional teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Ability to communicate effectively cross functionally and across multiple divisions with various levels of leadership.
- Attention to detail in order to ensure accurate reporting of information.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range: $165,750 - $204,750
