Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is seeking a Senior/Lead Ground Segment Project Engineer to join the Ground Segment team in Berkeley, MO.
The Boeing Air Dominance business unit is seeking a Ground Systems Project Engineer to coordinate Ground Segment Hardware and Software Development on a fast-paced proprietary program in Berkeley, MO.
You will be joining a fast-paced Air Dominance program where you will be coordinating across disciplines to drive project execution for Mission Planning, Debrief, Maintenance, and C2 activities. This role requires close collaboration across multiple IPTs and the ability to coordinate tasking and drive execution for a geographically separated team. The ideal candidate will develop overall project plans consistent with program objectives as defined by key stakeholders. You will ensure teams are executing identified and assigned tasks and provide appropriate tracking and reporting per plan. In this position you will be offered visibility to leadership, working closely with program managers and customers using best practices to drive execution on all Ground Segment efforts.

Position Responsibilities:
Lead, develop, coordinate, integrate, analyze, and maintain integrated plans and schedules for complex projects
Identify and communicate risk and opportunity potential, develop mitigation planning
Coordinate tasking across local and offsite teams representing multiple skill areas to drive execution to program baselines
Lead Agile development planning as the Scrum Master for Ground Segment teams
Identify performance metrics and compare actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned
Provide status updates, milestone schedules and risk analysis summaries
Communicate program status, on-going financial viability and identification of key issues to IPT leadership
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners
Identify and drive program adoption of new collaboration tools to improve execution efficiency.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Senior: 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Active Secret Security Clearance
3 or more years of experience with engineering project planning
Qualification in Project Management or equivalent preferred (PMP or CPM, etc.)
Able to work independently without high levels of supervision (self-motivated)
Familiarity with hardware and software development
Experience with Ground-based Mission Planning, Debrief, and/or Command and Control
Experience with system level verification and validation
Typical Education/Experience:
Lead
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (Lead): $114,750 - $155,250
Summary pay range (Senior): $140,250 - $189,750
