Boeing Global Services — Government Services communications team seeks a Senior Communications Specialist to create and execute product support communications strategies for defense (and defense acquisition) audiences. The role partners with program and BD leaders to produce integrated messaging and content (feature articles for Services.Boeing.com, videos, social media, news releases, BNNs, executive talking points and speeches), engages media and external storytelling venues, adopts new tools and approaches (especially Boeing Conversational A.I., measures outcomes to inform strategy, and advises senior leaders. Multiple concurrent projects and cross-organizational coordination required.
This role can be based in one of the following locations: Berkeley, MO; Jacksonville, FL; Seattle, WA; Huntsville, AL; Oklahoma City, OK, or San Antonio, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
Work as a member of a diverse and complex team, looking beyond organizational boundaries to ensure the narrative they own is having the right impact in the right spaces
Research, design, and implement communications strategies and tactical plans to support critical milestones and initiatives
Produce compelling, persuasive and effective communications materials, including but not limited to feature articles, videos, social media, news releases, internal stories, and executive talking points and speeches
Identify and engage with external media and other storytelling venues to position key business priorities and active sales campaigns
Adopt new approaches, technologies, processes and tools to continuously evolve engagement strategies for key stakeholders, including employees and customers
Prioritize competing projects and requests, managing multiple initiatives, and coordinating across multiple organizations, where appropriate, while maintaining focus on strategic objectives
Build relationships at all levels and advise senior leaders regarding strategy, risk, and opportunity, as well as preparing leaders for media and employee engagements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience creating and implementing strategic communications plans
5+ years of experience with visual storytelling
5+ years of experience creating content for internal and external audiences
5+ years of experience managing multiple projects concurrently
3+ years of experience in the defense or aerospace industry
Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
5+ years of experience working in Aerospace and Defense industry
Experience working in a large, global company
Experience in Defense industry tradeshow planning and content calendar creation

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $107,950 - $156,400
