Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance (AD) division has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, versatile and highly-collaborative engineering Senior Manager to join our Fighters team leading F-22 Mission Systems modernization development.
The F-22 Mission Systems Senior Manager leads all Boeing Mission Systems integration, software and hardware efforts on the F-22 Modernization Program. This position is accountable to the Boeing Global Services (BGS) F-22 Program Manager, reports to the Fighters Engineering Mission Systems Director within BDS Air Dominance and works closely with our F-22 partner company.
Position Responsibilities:
Overall leadership of the F-22 Mission Systems development team utilizing an Agile development environment with multiple parallel projects that support an annual fleet release cadence.
Oversight of multiple Boeing Integration laboratories and the Boeing 757 Flying Test Bed.
Technical, cost, schedule and quality performance for all aspects of F-22 Mission Systems development.
Coordination and collaboration with Program Management.
Coordination and collaboration with our F-22 Partner Lockheed Martin.
Coordination and collaboration with the F-22 military project offices, customers and aircrew.
Coordination, collaboration and integration with large scale customer development and operational testing.
Lead a multi-disciplined team in multiple sites.
Build, develop and deploy an empowered workforce and talent pipeline through staffing, career assignments, promotions, skill development and talent management.
Work closely with program senior leadership to develop growth strategies for continued platform modernization.
Perform Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) management
Interface with Fighters Mission Systems leadership and other teams across the enterprise to ensure proper project planning and implementation and incorporation of lessons learned
Interface, communicate, present to senior leadership
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.
Travel may be required up to 15% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of experience leading and partnering with cross-functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management.
5+ years of experience working within a fast-paced team environment which requires strong communication skills to frequently interact with leadership or internal and external customer representatives.
3 years of experience in a management position or leading engineering teams
Experience with schedule and budget management, integration of all logistics elements, customer communication, as well as understanding of execution of program planning to ensure cost, schedule, and technical baseline requirements are met.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience and knowledge of Mission Systems.
Prior experience and knowledge of the Fighters programs portfolio
Experience with engineering integration on development programs
Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of management, customers, and partners
Ability to build a safe environment of transparency and trust.
Leadership skills to lead and influence positive outcomes
Experience providing active mentorship and career guidance
Earned Value Management experience.

Summary pay range: $178,500- $241,500
