Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Technical Support Specialist to join the F-15 Analysis, Integration, and Test (AIT) team within Fighters Mission Systems in Berkeley, MO. F-15 AIT team supports both domestic and international customers and operates multiple electronic test laboratories.
As a technical specialist you will provide support to a team of multi-disciplinary integration and test engineers. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing team performance metrics, developing, maintaining, and submitting test artifacts and other contract deliverables supporting test configuration management initiatives, ensuring traceability between requirements and tests, monitoring problem reports and distributing actions to the technical team, supporting and running program milestone meetings, and aiding in the coordination and estimation of future work.
The selected candidate will work well in a fast-paced environment with frequent shifts in priority. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must as you will work with a large team of cross-functional individuals. The hiring manager is specifically looking for a self-starter who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to support and improve lab operations. Occasional off-shift work may be required to support critical business milestones.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Experienced (Levels 2 or 3) Engineering Technical Specialist.
Position Responsibilities
- Collecting, maintaining, and analyzing team performance metrics, to include test execution rates, pass/fail rates, finance metrics, objective completion status, etc. and disseminating the metrics as directed.
- Developing, maintaining, and submitting test artifacts (i.e. summaries of test events, commentary on failures, engineering team recommendations) and other contract deliverables (CDRLs).
- Supporting test configuration management initiatives in alignment with applicable quality standards.
- Analyzing traceability between requirements and test procedures; ensuring all requirements can be directly traced to the appropriate verification test.
- Setting up agendas, tracking progress towards, and supporting multiple program meetings (focus on Test Readiness Reviews) each year.
- Supporting the estimation of future work by pulling historical data, constructing estimates, submitting reports to program managers, etc.
- Collaborating with lab management and test engineers to continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, driving efficiency and effectiveness in the integration lab.
- Supporting periodic lab audits, ensuring compliance with applicable industry and Boeing standards, ensuring the lab is always in a clean, organized state, etc.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)clearance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Level 2: Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master and 1 or more years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience)
- Level 3: Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master and 4 or more years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience)
- Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAPs)
- Experience working with technical engineers and customers (with a proven track record of success)
- 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Excel (familiar with queries, pivot tables, data analysis/validation, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience working in a lab environment
- Experience writing scripts (i.e. C, DXL, Java, Python, R, …) to obtain data and produce metrics
- Experience working in the defense industry
- Experience with DOORS, MSOSA, or other requirement management tools
- Experience with ClearQuest
- Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills.
Typical Education & Experience
Associate (Level 2)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).
Experienced (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range (Associate, Level 2): $71,400 – $96,600
Summary pay range (Experienced, Level 3): $84,150 – $113,850
