- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal and other functions to understand business objectives, validate priorities, and translate needs into solution deliverables.
- Own the end to end PTP solution design and target operating model: sourcing → requisitioning → purchase order → goods/services receipt → invoice processing → payment → supplier master data & onboarding.
- Capture, refine and validate functional and non functional requirements; produce conceptual and detailed solution designs and verify that designs meet data, information management and integration requirements across SAP and non SAP systems.
- Lead integration architecture and interface design between SAP and external systems (Ariba, payment providers, banks/EBS, tax engines, EDI partners, supplier portals), including message mapping, reconciliation flows, exception handling and SLAs.
- Design and govern the PTP data model and master data processes (supplier onboarding, tax IDs, bank account validation, KYC/KYB), including master data governance standards and reconciliation controls.
- Define configuration strategy and solution patterns for PTP in S/4HANA and Ariba to ensure reuse, scalability and maintainability of configurations and extensions.
- Drive process standardization and control frameworks: GR/IR management, invoice matching/tolerances (VIM/MIRO/ERS), dispute resolution, segregation of duties, tax/WHT compliance and auditability.
- Assess feasibility of architecture options and perform trade off analyses against SAP and industry best practices; evaluate new SAP releases and alternate software, and act as a recognized subject matter expert in the domain.
- Identify and recommend automation and digitization opportunities (OCR/VIM, RPA, straight through processing, Fiori UX improvements, workflow optimizations) to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy and accelerate time to pay.
- Create and maintain architecture artifacts, functional and application design documents, interface specifications, test strategies and test cases (SIT/UAT/Performance), runbooks and operational playbooks.
- Lead delivery activities related to PTP implementations and enhancements: solution design, configuration, development coordination, testing, cutover planning, deployment and post go live stabilization.
- Provide technical leadership during testing and rollout: facilitate issue triage, lead root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation between development, integration and business teams.
- Ensure all PTP solutions comply with security, regulatory, and corporate IT standards; embed controls required by Finance, Tax, Audit and Legal throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Work with ERP Architect colleagues to manage the end to end product lifecycle of SAP PTP capabilities within the broader ERP ecosystem, including lifecycle governance and versioning of architecture views and models.
- Produce and govern standardized documentation templates, architecture views and model artifacts using established techniques and tools; support configuration management of these artifacts.
- Mentor and enable functional teams, junior architects and third party integrators; drive knowledge transfer, training and run team readiness for sustained operations.
- Evaluate third party tools and emerging SAP/market capabilities, develop business case driven adoption roadmaps, and recommend pragmatic solutions that deliver measurable business value.
