Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for a Reclamation Processor B, to join our team in Auburn, Washington.
As a reclamation processor B, you will ensure the safety and efficient operation of forklifts and other motorized equipment to move, position and load semi-trailers and scrap containers and to load and unload reusable material to and from such items as vehicles and flats.

Position Responsibilities
- Regularly operate forklifts and other motorized equipment to move, position and load semi-trailers and scrap containers and to load and unload reusable material to and from such items as vehicles and flats.
- Repair, reinforce and construct scrap containers as required.
- Operate trash compactor and rotary head forklift to dispose of non-hazardous waste.
- Setup and operate gas and/or electric cutting equipment such as single or multiple nozzle semi-automatic flame cutters or plasma arc cutting equipment to facilitate salvaging.
- This equipment is limited to use within the reclamation areas.
- Sort surplus material and determine whether materials or items will be scrapped, salvaged or sent to the surplus store for resale.
- Operate power shears, balers, cranes, shredders and other reclamation equipment necessary to facilitate the disposition of company and government surplus material and scrap.
- Identify and check Government tools, Company tools, etc. against paperwork and make disposition in accordance with established procedures.
- Properly reroute or return misrouted and incorrectly tagged material to the proper organization.
- Use power and hand tools such as hammers, saws, wrenches, etc. Prepare incoming and outgoing trailers and containers. Process paper work as necessary.
- Check motive equipment and report required maintenance.
- Work with and assist chip recovery operator as required.
- Perform duties associated with other recycling programs such as paper recycling disposition of used fuel and precious metals.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
- Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
- Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
- Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
- Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.
- Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
- Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ months experience operating a Forklift?
- Do you have the ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance?
- 3+ months experience using hand tools and/or hand-held power tools?
- 3+ months experience working with reclamation of metal commodities or surplus of used equipment/materials?
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to decipher between various metals and plastics
- Experience with power equipment and hand tools such as hammers, saws, wrenches
- Experience working both independently and in team environments
- Experience with demonstrating creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Professional written & verbal communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Typical Education & Experience:
High school graduate or GED preferred.
