Senior Systems Engineer
Why This is an Exciting Role:
As a Senior Systems Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), this position will complete the following essential functions:
- Lead the development and delivery of a product/configuration item within technical objectives
- Lead the system lifecycle activities including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Understand & analyze the critical and driving paths to ensure tasks are linked properly and flow correctly
- Work with Chief Engineer to plan, schedule, and coordinate engineering activities for assigned projects
- Identify and communicate technical scope of work, cost, and schedule risk
- Be proficient in analyzing, enhancing, and extending existing software systems, including debugging, feature development, and ongoing maintenance
- Analyze and define requirements, interfaces, and performance criteria
- Lead and participate Test Plan development and oversee execution
- Conduct risk analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective actions to resolve issues resulted from regression test
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with software developers and program managers
- System architectural definition, development and preparation of CDRL documentation and other technical documentation
Develop software components and scripts as part of system integration, automation, and validation

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Years of Experience and Education:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+15 years' related work experience, Master+18 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Required Qualifications:
- An active TS/SCI with active polygraph
- 20+ years of experience in systems engineering
- 10+ years experience leading the system lifecycle activities including requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and prepare Release Readiness Review deck
- Professional experience with software programming in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java, Go)
- Professional experience with version control Bitbucket/Git, DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes), and software configuration management
- Experience with software development and debugging
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as an Agile SCRUM Master
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- Experience generating technical documentation
- Experience using with Jira and Confluence
Telework/Remote Availability: Hybrid work authorized, up to 16-hours per week (depending on team and workflow)

Summary Pay Range:
Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
$197,000 - $250,000
