Senior/Principal Back-End Software Developer
Why This is an Exciting Role:
As a Senior/Principal Back-End Software Developer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), you will be creating and enhancing a high-visibility, collaborative web application used in the day-to-day mission by the customer as well as across the broader Intelligence Community (IC) and other partners. Your work will enable data to be updated and shared in real-time that will help drive more informed and timely decisions in matters of national security.
- Provide Back-End software development and technical services to support the Analytic and Engagement Applications (AEA) organization
- Collaborate with other software development teams developing web-based user interface applications promoting service interoperability, integration, and reuse
- Perform code reviews
- Debug existing software and correcting defects
- Write & review software system documentation

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
Twenty (20) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
Twenty-five (25) years total of SWE experience may be substituted for candidates without a qualifying bachelor’s degree.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- JPA / Hibernate Database Development Experience
- RESTful Services
- Java Message Service (JMS)
- Mongo DB
- Relational databases such as PostgreSQL or CockRoachDB
- Data modeling using relational databases for Spring
- Spring Boot
- Swagger to create RESTful APIs
- Linux CLI tools
- Parse and transform JSON
Desired Qualifications:
- Full Stack experience
- AWS and Kubernetes
- Gitlab CI/CD and Docker
- Elasticsearch
- Production Software support and maintenance.
- Strong Analytical troubleshooting skills needed.
- Provide back-end software development and technical services to support the Analytic and Engagement Applications
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
- Develop services for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
- Review source code and test software components for adherence to code standards and design requirements and documents test results
- Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components
- Perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements
- Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s)
- Collaborate with Outreach team to troubleshoot, debug existing production software and correct defects.
Improve documentation and software development process standards.
Telework/Remote Availability: Hybrid work authorized (Telework hours will depend on tasking for customer duties)

Summary Pay Range:

$206,000- $246,000
