Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an Electrical/Avionics Engineer to join the C-17 Globemaster III sustainment and support team at RAAF Base Amberley.
As an Electrical/Avionics Engineer within BDA, you will:
- Work with the ADF to sustain and enhance the C-17 capability.
- Integrate new software and avionics modifications into the C-17 Globemaster aircraft and ADF sustainment system.
- Develop software and avionics verification and certification programs.
- Assess compatibility for carriage and operation of new aircraft role equipment.
- Provide assessments for hazard management relating to aviation software, avionics and electrical systems.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
Essential:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Avionics, Software, Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronics).
- Minimum of 2 years avionics engineering experience.
- Experience within Aviation environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to engage with external stakeholders.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Desirable:
- Familiar with EMI/EMC standards and processes.
- Experience working in an ADF SPO (Systems Program Office).
- Familiar with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR).
- Engineering authority within a DASR 21J or similar safety regulations.
- NV1 Security Clearance.
Program overview
The C-17 Globemaster III program provides strategic airlift capability vital to the Royal Australian Air Force's ability to move personnel, equipment and humanitarian aid across Australia and the globe. This program sustains Australia's heavy airlift capacity, supports humanitarian and disaster relief missions, and contributes to coalition and regional operations.
