Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Senior Quality Workplace Coach to support the Fabrication Quality Team out of Algona and Auburn, Washington.
In this role, you will partner with our fabrication teams to ensure individuals are properly trained and follow procedures according to Boeing standards. You will serve as a hands-on quality leader embedded on the shop floor, coaching frontline personnel and supervisors to consistently meet production, safety, and quality objectives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The Fabrication Quality Team is a multi-disciplined group responsible for ensuring the integrity of metal and composite sub-assemblies produced in our fabrication shops. The team combines inspection and process-quality specialists, metrology technicians, trainers, and continuous improvement coaches who work collaboratively with mechanics, machine operators, engineering, and manufacturing leadership. Core activities overseen by the team include first-article inspections, in-process verification, final inspection, nonconformance management, root-cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and compliance to drawing requirements including GD&T.
As a Senior Quality Workplace Coach, you will help implement and sustain process controls, lead on-the-job training and competency assessments, champion use of inspection tools and metrology equipment, and guide teams through audits and readiness activities. You will also interface with supplier quality, engineering, and production planning to prioritize high‑risk areas, reduce variation, and ensure seamless handoffs across fabrication cells in Algona and Auburn. Your coaching will emphasize safety-first behaviors, precise documentation of findings, and development of front-line leaders to self-sustain improved quality performance
Position Responsibilities:
Leads complex group work sessions selecting and using advanced Lean principles, processes and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal or external customers
Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria
Analyzes and interprets data
Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk
Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives
Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans
Works under minimal direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Auburn, WA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience in fabrication based roles
5+ years of experience working with MasterCAM
3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading teams
3+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
5+ years’ experience with the Boeing Production System
Demonstrated experience using Rockwell hardness testers, Magna Mike (or equivalent gap/thickness/bore gauges), and CL5 (or similar shop floor inspection systems) — including setup, calibration verification, data capture and interpretation, troubleshooting, and applying measurement results to drive SPC, corrective actions, and hands on coaching of technicians.

Summary Pay Range: 100,300 - 130,700
