Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate (Level 2) or Experienced (Level 3) Quality Engineer (Engineer Process - Quality) to join our team located in Portland, OR.
Primary responsibilities:
- Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
- Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
- Supports production with problem solving.
- Provides technical support to assembly and manufacturing.
- Interprets drawing specifications and design requirements.
- Selects new inspections technologies.
- Implements measurement system analysis and process capabiality 3 analysis
- Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
- Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
- Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
- Works under general supervision.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
- Level 2: 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering related field.
- Knowledge of machining processes.
- Experience in Heat treatment assembly and machining.
- Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).
- Familiar with drawing/data systems and configuration management principles and processes.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
- Design engineering experience background is a plus.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range:
- Associate (Level 2): $78,200 - $105,800
- Experienced (Level 3): $94,350 - $127,650
