Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Level Industrial Engineer (Levels 4/5) to join the Industrial Engineering Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.
This position will require someone that thrives in a very dynamic/fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will fulfill a dynamic range of responsibilities that are expected to change and evolve often. The ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment is paramount to being a successful Industrial Engineer with The Boeing Company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Applies advanced industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements.
- Identifies new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.
- Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
- Leads the development of models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leader and customers.
- Leads research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
- Leads operations planning, including work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)
- An accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- 8+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting
- 8+ years of experience applying advanced knowledge and application of production engineering principles to analyze and implement manufacturing processes and methods
- 8+ years of experience in project management and leading cross functional teams
- Experience with capacity planning, manpower forecasting, line balancing, time and motion studies, process modeling and lean manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- An accredited master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Supply Chain, or Business.
- 12+ years of experience in the field of Lean Manufacturing
- 12+ years of experience in defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes in an integrator/leader role
- Passion for continuous improvement and desire to stabilize and improve manufacturing

Pay Range Summary:

Summary pay range for level 4: $117,300 - $158,700 (min-max)
Summary pay range for level 5: $146,200 - $197,800 (min-max)
