Boeing Defense, Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for a Senior NDT Quality Test Specialist to join the Quality team in Mesa, AZ!
This position will be working in a dynamic team supportive team within Air Dominance Proprietary within a shop floor environment using automated and traditional systems, evaluating collected data, making accept/reject decisions. Ideal candidates will have the ability to interpret blueprint requirements and have the capability of supporting and/or developing inspection procedures. Successful candidates will have experience in NAS410 standard, be an effective communicator, and be able to work across multiple diverse functions, including partnering with engineering teams.
This position requires the candidate to hold current or recently current (within the last 18 months) NAS410 NDT certification Level III in a minimum of one of the following methods: Ultrasonic (UT) or Radiography (RT).
Employees will be required to obtain a minimum of Level II certification in UT or RT method. Failure to achieve or maintain the required certifications may lead to termination of employment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Advises on advanced technology in non-destructive instrumentation and inspection principles, processes and techniques.
- Guides implementation of advanced inspection or test techniques.
- Develops innovative test processes and equipment.
- Consults suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues involving tests, processes and equipment.
- Develops principles and methods for analyzing test, inspection or statistical data.
- Consults on corrective action to resolve process or product anomalies.
- Participates on enterprise and industry teams to influence the standardization and regulation of training and certification requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Currently hold or previously held (last 18 months) NAS410 Certified Level III in Ultrasonic (UT) or Radiographic (RT) method
More than 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
More than 5 years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)
More than 3 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical publications and/or specifications
Experience in aerospace manufacturing or manufacturing support
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Current or recently held (in the last 18 months) NAS410 Certified Level III in one or more NDT methods (Radiography (RT), Eddy Current (ET), Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle (MT)
More than 3 years of experience with aerospace Non-Destructive Testing
More than 3 years of experience performing Non-Destructive Testing on composite parts
Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
Current or recently held (in the last 18 months) NAS410 Certified Level III in UT or RT method

Summary pay range: USD 102,300 - 130,200
